Projects in Naples
03The light of Naples
In the narrow streets sunlight arrives late, and only as bounced light; in Posillipo it comes in from the sea and changes through the day. Shooting here means choosing the time of day before the framing.
In the palazzi of the centre I work with the light falling from the courtyards and balance it with a few lights, without flattening the stucco. For houses by the sea I prefer the morning, when the light is soft and reflections on the water don’t burn out the windows.
For aerial footage I check every zone on D-Flight: much of the city needs specific checks, partly because of Capodichino airport.

FAQ
How much does an interior photography shoot in Naples cost?
It depends on the number of rooms, the hours of light and how the images will be used. After a site visit, or with a few photos of the space, you get a detailed proposal.
Can you fly a drone in central Naples?
Many zones need checks and authorisations, partly because of Capodichino airport. I check every area on D-Flight before setting the date.
Do you work outside Naples?
Yes: across Campania, the rest of Italy and abroad.
